.CA Members to Elect New Board Directors

Ottawa, September 19, 2012 – Members of the .CA community will begin casting their votes today for candidates in the Canadian Internet Registration Authority's (CIRA) 2012 Board of Directors Election. The vote period runs from today at noon (ET) until noon (ET) on September 26, 2012.

.CA Members play a valuable role in contributing to CIRA's corporate strategic direction by directly participating in governance activities such as Board of Director Elections. This is a tremendous opportunity for our Members to select some of Canada’s Internet leaders and help to guide CIRA as it fulfills its mandate to manage the .CA domain as a key public resource for the benefit of all Canadians.

Voting for Election Candidates

This year, .CA Members will have the opportunity to cast their votes to elect five candidates—three from the Nomination Committee Slate and two from the Member Slate. Before casting their votes, .CA Members can learn more about each Candidate by reading the Candidates' Statements. Voting will take place online at

The election results will be published on CIRA's election website on or before October 3, 2012.
