.CA Members can show support for nominees in CIRA’s Board of Directors election

OTTAWA - August 21, 2013 – .CA Members will begin to show their support today for nominees in the Canadian Internet Registration Authority's (CIRA) 2013 Board of Directors election. The Show of Support period starts today at noon ET and ends at 6 p.m. ET on September 4, 2013.

.CA Members play a valuable role in contributing to CIRA's corporate strategic direction by directly participating in governance activities such as Board of Director elections. By showing your support for elections nominees, you are helping to build trusted Canadian values online.

Show support for election nominees
Each Member nominee must obtain the support of at least 20 .CA Members to be listed on the final election ballot. To show support, Members must complete a brief online Show of Support form. Members can learn more about each Member nominee by reading their statements.

The final slate of candidates will be published on CIRA's Election website on September 9, 2013. The final vote will take place online from 2 p.m. ET September 16 to 2 p.m. ET September 23, 2013.
